NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a critical coenzyme found in all living cells, serving as an electron carrier in the mitochondrial electron transport chain and as a substrate for longevity-regulating enzymes. As a SIRT1–7 (sirtuin) activator substrate, NAD+ availability directly controls the epigenetic and metabolic regulatory functions of these deacetylases — linking cellular energy status to gene expression, inflammation and aging.
